Dessert should not be emphasized too much when it comes to children. Dessert should be considered a special treat that is limited to special occasions.
An essential part of a nutritional diet is riboflavin. We need this nutrient to release the energy from fat, carbs and protein used in our bodies. It is also used in transporting iron throughout the body as well as in functions related to metabolism. Enriched grain and dairy products are excellent sources of riboflavin.
